First Stride Hockey

This beginner hockey program is your 'First Stride' toward the NY Rangers Learn to Play program. No skating experience required.

First Stride will teach skaters the fundamentals of ice hockey while emphasizing skating skill development, coordination, safety and most importantly, fun! The program will focus on skating with an introduction to puck control, shooting, and passing throughout a series of specially designed drills, personalized instruction, and small area games.

Open to boys and girls ages 4+. All skaters will be grouped accordingly by skating experience.

Required equipment – Hockey Skates, Helmet, Gloves. Hockey stick recommended. All new players receive a hockey jersey at no additional cost. Rental skates are available at the front desk.
